My name is Morgan Jones, and I am a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA). I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended Huntington University for my bachelor’s in art and education. After my bachelor’s, I decided to pursue counseling because I wanted to help people work through their struggles in a comprehensive way without being restricted to a classroom setting.
I obtained my master’s degree in counseling from Grace College and Seminary in 2021. After graduating, I worked full time in community mental health, where I learned to work with a variety of populations and presenting issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and personality disorders. I have a passion for working with late teenagers and young adults, but have also done extensive work with people ranging in ages from 2-65.
My counseling philosophy is that people are uniquely created in the image of God and are worthy of dignity, care, and respect. Everyone has a story worth telling, and I believe it is a sacred privilege to sit with people and help them work through the parts of their stories that feel messy. I take a psychodynamic approach to counseling, integrating elements of Rogerian and Adlerian theory and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also enjoy utilizing my art background to provide creative interventions to clients who are open to it. Overall, I enjoy incorporating an array of approaches in order to best accommodate each individual client.
I reside in Middlebury, Indiana with my children. I enjoy reading, country music, spending time with my children, and drinking anything coffee related. I look forward to working with you!
